All of the spaces in between

This week I have been working to develop my flat ideas into something more experiential. These Immersive environments seek to challenge the perception of the viewer, challenging what is real, and what is 2D or 3D. These photographs act as flat models, which could be reproduced on a much larger scale.

So the past few days have been more developmental, exploring how to execute my work three dimensionally. I have been applying a variety of line and mark to various planes of perspex, acetate and paper to create depth. There is an interesting relationship between the shadow and light being cast throughout the spaces of each layer, and I think this can be pushed further. As well as scale, I am looking to pursue exaggerated perspective and thwart the perception of the viewer. Here are some small previews of what I have been up to!
